Every reading and reflection saves to your personal tarot journal, and you can return to your full history anytime. It lives in your private iCloud account, syncs across your iOS devices, and exports to PDF or Markdown whenever you want.
AI-assisted, only when you want it
Two ways to go deeper: Interpret and Deepen.
Interpret
A personalized interpretation of one complete reading. It considers your question, the spread, the cards drawn, and each card’s position — connecting the whole reading rather than returning isolated card definitions.
Your written reflection is included only if you choose “Include my reflection.” Save the interpretation with the reading.
Deepen
Keep exploring a reading in an AI-assisted conversation of up to five responses. It begins with your reading and reflection, and helps you examine the connections, tensions, assumptions, and questions it raises.
For continuity it can draw on relevant saved reflections and past Deepen conversations — never your card-draw history, and it never treats repeated cards as evidence about your future.

Reaching the AI limit never restricts your journal or the rest of the app. Decks, spreads, self-guided readings, journaling, sync, and export stay free — always.
THW Plus
Keep the AI going with THW Plus.
When you’ve used your ten included readings, THW Plus continues the AI features — up to three guided AI readings a day, each with an Interpret interpretation and an optional five-response Deepen conversation.
Plus is only the AI. Decks, spreads, journaling, sync, and export are already free — Plus doesn’t unlock them. Cancel anytime; your readings, reflections, and conversations stay exactly where they are.

Your data
Your journal is yours. The AI sees only what’s needed.
Your readings and journal live in your private iCloud account. There’s no Hermit’s Way database of your journal, and we can’t browse it.
When you use Interpret or Deepen, only what’s needed for that response is sent — through a Hermit’s Way server to Anthropic. Interpret includes your reflection only if you add it; Deepen sends the reflection and conversation it needs to continue. Your whole journal is never sent, and your card-draw history is never used as AI memory.

Hermit’s Way is built around a simple idea: attention changes us. The cards don’t hand you answers or predict the future — they bring experience into awareness, and awareness is what makes a real choice possible.
It draws on the Rider–Waite–Smith tradition and years of reading, written to tell what’s evidenced from what’s later convention. The work isn’t done by the cards; it’s done by the attention you bring to them.
